With One Voice, Rising

Wisps of fog drift across
the waters. The Spirit of
God moves across the
waters, lifting our spirits,
moving us to praise. A
bird responds. A rooster
crows. Even at night in
the evening light beside
our pond, a lively throng
of frogs repeats the glad
chorus with one accord:
"Thank You. Thank You.
Thank. Thank. Thank."

by Mary Harwell Sayler

The poem "With One Voice, Rising" appears in the poetry book, Living in the Nature Poem, published in 2012 by Hiraeth Press.
